:: ADMISSION REGULATIONS

    Basic B.Sc., (N) Degree Course 4 Years Duration

:: GENERAL REGULATIONS

  1. Admission

    The candidates seeking admission to any of the courses shall the prescribed application form from the collage and shall submit the duly filed to the Principal of College of Nursing along with the Certificate of Medical fitness from an authorized Medical Officer stating that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the selected course.


  2. Selection

    The selection of the candidates will be as per the procedure recommended by the Government from time to time. All the candidates selected to join the course shall submit their necessary Original Certificates at the time of Admission. The certificates shall be returned only after the completion of the course and the Internship period.


  3. Enrollment

    The candidates selected are expected to enroll their names in T.N. Dr. M.G.R. Medical University within 7 days of Admission by remitting the prescribed fees along with the application form.


  4. Registration

    The candidate admitted shall register with Tamil Nadu Dr .M.G.R. Medical University by remitting the prescribed fee along with the application form for Registration duly filled in and forwarded to the University through the Head of the Institution within the stipulated date.


  5. Medium Of Instruction

    English shall be the medium of Instruction for all subjects of study and for Examination.


  6. Curriculum

    The curriculum and the syllabi for the course shall be as prexcribed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and Indian Nursing Council from time to time.


  7. Payments of Fees

    The candidates are expected to pay the prescribed fees fixed from time to time within the stipulated last date. The delay in fee remittance will attract fine. The fees once paid shall not be returned under any circumstance.


  8. Attendance

    A candidate is required to put in a minimum of 90% of attendance in both theory and Practical separately in each subject before admission to the examination.


  9. Uniform

    The students are required to wear the prescribed uniform during their Clinical Experiences. Two sets of Clinical uniform and one set of Community Health Nursing uniform will be provided by the collage upon payment.


  10. Vacation and leave

    A total of 6 weeks of vacation per year is planned and the students are permitted to avail the same as two weeks in December and four weeks in May.
    Public holidays are as per the rule of the institution. Special leave may be granted by the Principal on prior request from the parents for special occasions. Unauthorized level will be deemed as absenteeism which will attract disciplinary action.


  11. Discontinuation

    Candidates who want to discontinue will be subjected to abide with the rules of the collage enforced from time to time.
